The Ronald S. Lauder Impact Initiative (LII)

LII is proud to be partnering with five pilot schools this year: @Donna Klein Jewish Academy (Boca Raton), Hillel Day School (Detroit), @Schechter Boston (Boston), @Milton Gottesman Jewish Day School (Washington, DC), and Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School (Rockville). Over the next several years, we will collaborate with schools, local funders, national funders, and expert consultants in each of these communities to gather data and research, test, and iterate strategies. We will work together as a nimble start-up: We’ll be creative, take risks, and make decisions based on data – not assumptions – to formulate big ideas on how to improve the value proposition of each school to change enrollment trajectories. The goal is to use what we learn from individual schools to create blueprints for national scaling, ultimately increasing Jewish day school enrollment among the 1.3 million Jewish children not currently in the system and, thus, transforming the Jewish future.? #JewishEducation #JewishDaySchools #JewishFuture #JewishCommunity #JewishContinuity https://lauder-impact.org/

Audacious. Innovative. Visionary. These are just three words that describe the Ronald S. Lauder Impact Initiative’s approach to changing the enrollment trajectory in U.S. Jewish day schools. With many others working on affordability, LII is choosing to focus on two other barriers to enrollment: ??Schools’ inability to articulate and message their Jewish value proposition ??Prospective parents’ misperceptions about Jewish day schools The goal is to close the gap between schools’ actual value and parental viewpoints. What LII brings to the table is expertise and an innovative – yet proven – approach, along with a driving belief that there has to be a different and better way of looking at enrollment beyond affordability. We are thrilled to share more about the launch of the Ronald S. Lauder Impact Initiative (LII). Mr. Lauder, President of the World Jewish Congress and former Ambassador from the US to Austria, has spent decades revitalizing European Jewish communities decimated during World War II by building and supporting Jewish schools, camps, and community centers.
