What. A. Finish! We wrapped up the final day of RHF’s 8-Day Ninja Warrior Challenge with champions crowned on both our Elite and Intermediate courses! These competitors pushed past their limits—and we couldn’t be more proud of every young and seasoned warrior who took on the course. From men and women to teenagers and kids, this event brought out the best in our community. A huge congratulations to our winners—you earned every step, swing, and victory! A common question we ask around RHF: “What did Tim make this week?” Our Facility and Grounds Manager, Tim Thoma is the perfect example of using your time, talent, and passion to serve others. Tim has created a trebuchet, spinning prize wheel, catapult system, and fitness stations along our new nature trail. As you can imagine, all of these creations bring so much joy to the children who visit RHF and participate in our events. Adults will also appreciate his hard work and contributions to our Ninja Warrior Obstacle Course this year. Tim is responsible for digging the holes for the course, and he has put in no less than a hundred hours digging pools. Here’s a little more about this amazing member of the RHF team: Tim has more than 20 years of operating experience in residential, commercial, and heavy civil construction. While humbly maintaining the beauty, life, and serenity of Rick’s Place, he strives to move the mission of RHF forward. Being a USAF Veteran and coming from a long military bloodline, Tim has inherited a strong sense of discipline, dedication, patriotism, and commitment to excellence in all endeavors. Driven by a passion for success, he approaches every project with determination and attention to detail. Outside of work, he finds solace and inspiration through his family, friends, and nature, finding joy and peace in the great outdoors. Tim is a perfect fit for RHF, and we are so thankful for him!

There’s just nothing like seeing our Ninja Obstacle Course come to life! The first of two world-class obstacle courses is currently going up. These incredible courses are designed by Darren Jeffrey, the visionary behind American Ninja Warrior’s courses, and they include a heart-pounding mix of excitement and physical challenge. Starting this weekend, we will be hosting athletes from all over Fayetteville, Fort Bragg, and across the country who want to push themselves to their absolute limits. Participants will be suspended in the air with nothing but their grit, strength, and agility to guide them. They will battle through each thrilling station while friends, family, and spectators cheer them on. With two courses—one for intermediate-level athletes and one for elite warriors—there’s a challenge for everyone. The event will also feature family-friendly fun with food trucks, free fitness/recovery classes, and festival-style games. And while it will be lots of fun, the mission behind Ninja Warrior goes much further than that. This event is central to our mission of serving military families, with proceeds going directly to support RHF. More details about attending the event: Military-affiliated individuals run the courses for free. Civilians run the course for $60. Registration is required for every person securing 2 hours of course access. The course will be open to the public on the weekends of March 22-23 & 29-30.? Military personnel spectators are free; $15 for civilian spectators. One Week to Go! We are just one week away from Ninja Warrior, and Team RHF is in full motion! Before the whirlwind began, RHF leadership took time for professional development, ensuring we are strong, focused, and ready to lead. Huge thanks to Dr. Barbara Thompson for guiding us through the Working Genius assessment, helping us refine our strengths and build a more cohesive team. Coming off a successful Eggstravaganza, we jumped right into prepping Rick’s Place for up to 4,500 attendees over the 10-day event. A strong team means a stronger impact on our mission. RHF believes strong families - strong military - strong nation. We can’t wait to put that into action next week!
