Off the Orange Line | grab a snack at our food truck or test your art skills on the digital graffiti wall? - And at the center of it all, a DJ pop up in the park because, in our minds it’s always summer in Chi? The Revel Group: Reinventing Events, One Wild Idea at a Time The Revel Group didn’t start as a business—it started as a bold idea fueled by guts, a little wine, and a lot of ambition. Britt Whitfield decided to take a leap of faith and launched Revel Global Events with a single client and a dream of reimagining what events could be. No playbook, no roadmap—just a wild determination to shake up the industry. Enter Clint Paton, who was minding his own business, running a wine and floral shop, when Britt roped him into the world of events. Turns out, the wine in his shop was consumed more than it was sold—an occupational hazard when you're collaborating with event pros. Together, Britt and Clint quickly realized a glaring problem: the way vendors communicated—or didn’t—was a recipe for chaos. They saw an opportunity to rewrite the rules and create a seamless, connected agency of brands that could deliver flawless events from start to finish. With that, Clint launched Revel Decor, and the vision of an all-encompassing event empire began to take shape. The next chapter was written in venues. While managing a sought-after Chicago landmark, the duo set their sights on owning a space of their own. Then came an unexpected twist: Limelight Catering was looking for new ownership. Britt and Clint didn’t hesitate. “Why the hell not?” they said, diving headfirst into the catering world and adding another piece to the Revel puzzle. With their business thriving, they decided to bring even more creative firepower into the fold. Enter Sarah Finlayson-Banasiak, a longtime colleague, friend, and now Chief Creative Officer. Together, they cranked up the creativity, rocking events that redefined what it meant to celebrate. Then came the pandemic, a curveball that slowed the world down. But if there’s one thing Britt, Clint, and Sarah know how to do, it’s adapt. By 2022, The Revel Group was back—bigger, bolder, and breaking new ground. Now, with an eye on expansion, they’re bringing the magic of Revel Decor to Texas in 2025 and dreaming up partnerships and markets beyond. From one wild idea to an industry game-changer, The Revel Group isn’t just hosting events—they’re redefining how the world celebrates. And they’re just getting started.

Two weeks ago, we gathered Chicago’s most impactful philanthropists to launch our “Changing the Blueprint of Rescue” campaign in support of animal welfare. Hosted at one of the city’s most stunning galleries, Secrist Beach, We were honored to celebrate alongside remarkable partners who brought this vision to life. A special thanks to the culinary talents of Chef Mindy Segal and Jeff Stone of Limelight Catering and Revel Decor that made the evening unforgettable, and to those whose leadership added depth and purpose to the event including Clint Paton, Jenne Myers, and many others.? The need for change is urgent: since November 1, nearly 300 dogs have been surrendered or found on the streets of Chicago. This heartbreaking reality drives our commitment to transform rescue efforts in meaningful, lasting ways. Progress is underway, but there’s more to do. Congratulations to the MCP Rescue & Outreach team for their dedication to rewriting the story of rescue in our city.
