RET International
非盈利组织
We alleviate suffering and catalyze sustainable development, in crises, conflicts and fragile contexts.
关于我们
RET International is an independent, impartial, non-partisan organisation, with no religious or political affiliation. Founded in 2000 by Sadako Ogata, then High Commissioner of UNHCR, RET's mission has been to address the dire need for education in emergencies in fragile contexts for vulnerable young people affected by displacement. At RET, we are committed to assist communities to meet the educational needs, in the broadest sense, of young people made vulnerable by displacement, violence, armed conflict and disasters. Our programs provide young people with the protective environments and necessary skills to face the threats emanating from displacement, such as violence, recruitment into illegal armed groups, child labour, sexual exploitation or narco-trafficking. Through our interventions, we strengthen communities and transform vulnerable young people into responsible, employable and self-reliant citizens.

On November 25, the Mbera refugee camp came alive with hope and solidarity as RET and UNHCR launched the 16 Days of Activism campaign. Women, men, and youth from the refugee and host communities marched together, chanting “No to violence against women and girls!” Their voices carried a powerful message of change. Dressed in orange, participants gathered for heartfelt speeches from women leaders and community representatives. They spoke of resilience, the need to protect survivors, and the importance of challenging harmful norms to create a world where everyone is treated equally. The day was more than just words. Participants pledged their commitment to ending gender-based violence and celebrated women’s strength through an exhibition of handmade crafts—a testament to their courage and resourcefulness. This event was a reminder that real change begins when communities come together to stand up for dignity, respect, and equality for all. #16DaysOfActivism #EndGBV #OrangeTheWorld

Today marks the 35th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, a day to remember the importance of guaranteeing the rights of all children. In Panama, and especially in the province of Darién and the Emberá-Wounaan region, this date acquires particular relevance due to the complex migratory situation that the region is going through.
