In moments of uncertainty, it's more important than ever to turn towards one another, instead of away. Last night, we gathered in community and reaffirmed our commitment to support our immigrant families and neighbors. While the road ahead may be challenging, organizations like The Resurrection Project will continue to fight relentlessly for your rights, your dignity, and your future. Together, we are unstoppable. We will always rise and we will always fight for a better tomorrow. As we prepare for this next phase of resistance, we remind our community to take important steps to protect themselves. ** If you have DACA, renew as soon as possible.? ** If you are eligible for TPS, apply immediately.? Know Your Rights! Thank you to our partners and elected officials for your continued support. If you need information, please reach out to us at 312-666-1323 or visit our resource page at https://lnkd.in/gBgT49BJ.

TRP’s Colibrí Fellowship for DOJ Accreditation has expanded! We are excited to announce that our partners @Equity Corps of Oregon (ECO) launched the Fellowship in Oregon, engaging 13 fellows from six organizations across the state. ? This is the first Colibrí Fellowship cohort outside of Illinois and the fourth cohort overall. TRP Immigrant Justice leaders and Colibrí alum were on hand in Oregon for the launch to offer training and share their experiences. ? TRP launched Colibrí 2022 to create legal career pathways and increase access to legal services for immigrants by training fellows for the Department of Justice (DOJ) Accreditation – a designation that enables non-attorneys to serve as legal representatives in immigration cases. In just two years, the Fellowship increased the total number of accredited representatives in Illinois by more than 10%. We are excited to bring this growth and community of passionate DOJ accredited representatives to Oregon and beyond! ? Thank you to our Colibrí partners: Professor Michele Pistone at Villanova University Interdisciplinary Immigration Studies Training for Advocates, Capaces Leadership Institute, UnidosUS (@WeAreUnidosUS) @Oregon Worker Relief, and Clinton Global Initiative
