Gerardo Ravelo, the TRP Home Purchase and Empowerment Manager, has highlighted the significance of his team's work for the community. His dedication to serving as a valuable resource for homebuyers is inspired by his parents' homebuying experience. He recognizes how crucial it is to assist others in achieving their goal of homeownership. With your support, Gerardo and his team can continue to help first-time homebuyers realize their dream of owning a home. Every bit helps! Follow the link to donate to TRP: https://bit.ly/46wTFBx

On November 18, 2024, Guacolda Reyes was a panelist at the Women's Affordable Housing Network (WAHN) Powerhouse Luncheon on Generational Strength. She was joined on the panel by her daughter, Cat Vielma, who has followed in Guacolda's footsteps to become a powerhouse in affordable housing at Red Stone Equity Partners LLC. Guacolda made a powerful impact by sharing insights on generational strength and the importance of community resilience. Her words reminded us of the power of lifting each other across generations, paving the way for a brighter, more equitable future in affordable housing.??

On November 1, Eréndira “Ere” Rendón, vice president of Immigrant Justice at The Resurrection Project (TRP), was honored with the prestigious National Ohtli Award presented by Ambassador Reyna Torres Mendivil, the Consul General of the Mexican Consulate in Chicago at the Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Gala. The word Ohtli is rooted in the Nahuatl word meaning “road” or “path,” and symbolizes the noble act of opening a path for others. Ere’s unwavering dedication to immigrant communities embodies this spirit of service and leadership. The presidential election results have raised the stakes significantly for the immigrant community. It is imperative that we unite and resolutely fight for justice and dignity for all immigrants. In moments of uncertainty, it's more important than ever to turn towards one another, instead of away. Last night, we gathered in community and reaffirmed our commitment to support our immigrant families and neighbors. While the road ahead may be challenging, organizations like The Resurrection Project will continue to fight relentlessly for your rights, your dignity, and your future. Together, we are unstoppable. We will always rise and we will always fight for a better tomorrow. As we prepare for this next phase of resistance, we remind our community to take important steps to protect themselves. ** If you have DACA, renew as soon as possible.? ** If you are eligible for TPS, apply immediately.? Know Your Rights! Thank you to our partners and elected officials for your continued support.
