We are honored to be one of the recipients of grant funding from The Independence Center. Through this grant, we will be expanding our Cooking Time respite program to two events a month in order to serve more teens with intellectual and developmental disabilities by teaching them valuable cooking skills. The Independence Center is proud to announce that through The IC Fund, we have awarded $97,000 in grant funding to local organizations dedicated to increasing accessibility and independence for individuals with disabilities in the Pikes Peak Region! This year's grant recipients included: Pikes Peak Interagency Transition Team Special Kids Special Families The Resource Exchange Griffith Centers The IC Fund was established to support projects that enhance accessibility, promote independence, and improve the lives of individuals with disabilities. By providing funding to local organizations, The Independence Center aims to create a more inclusive and equitable community.
