Soon it is that time of the year…. Goblins, princesses, and monsters galore will be celebrating All Hallows Eve. Would you please consider donating gently used or new Halloween costumes for boys and girls of any size, to help the children in the shelter have a great Halloween? Celebrating holidays, just like other children, allows them to heal and feel part of a community, instead of being outsiders and scared. You can drop off donations between 10 am and 4 pm Monday through Thursday at The Refuge Utah 1433 E 840 N Orem, Utah.

Why Victims return to their Abusers * The victim fears the abuser may harm or kill them. * Financial control, the abuser makes it hard for the victim to survive. * Lack of support from family and friends. * Living in the hope that the abuser will change. * Confusion, the abuser using manipulation to maintain their control over the victim. * Cultural or religious beliefs which do not support the idea of separation. * Believing "it’s better for the children to have both parents present", despite the abuse. Please note that this list is not exhaustive and that there are many other reasons a victim chooses to stay.?
