Redwood Empire Food Bank is the largest hunger-relief organization serving north coastal California.
关于我们
Since 1987, the Redwood Empire Food Bank has been feeding our neighbors in need and leading the community to end hunger. We distribute food through our own programs and our partner organizations in Sonoma, Lake, Mendocino, Humboldt, and Del Norte counties. As the largest hunger-relief organization in our area, we work on the front lines of emergency food assistance in our region, playing a crucial role in helping individuals, families, seniors, and children. We serve our communities through three initiatives. Every Child, Every Day includes three robust programs that address the nutritional needs of children, targeting both schools and seasonal meal gaps. Senior Security serves a monthly average of 4,800 low-income seniors with healthy, fresh food across our five-county region. Neighborhood Hunger Network strives to improve the health and well-being of our community with food and nutrition education. We could not accomplish this without strategic resources. Our donors, corporate sponsors, and foundations provide the financial fuel our organization requires. Over 9,000 dedicated volunteers work at our distribution sites and warehouse to serve or prepare food for our community. But none of this would be possible without our employees. Our employees are the heart and soul of our organization. Their dedication and effort make them that vital Hunger Relief Worker our community relies upon every day.

Our first #MoveOutHunger event was a blast! Huge thanks to W Real Estate for hosting an incredible Bingo Night—bringing the laughs and raising funds to help End Hunger in Our Community. Not familiar with Move Out Hunger? It’s a month-long campaign where the local real estate community joins forces in a friendly competition to see who can make the biggest impact—raising funds, collecting food, and volunteering the most hours for the Redwood Empire Food Bank.

Gerry’s Spreading the Love—Will You? ???? Longtime Redwood Empire Food Bank supporter Gerry just took our Spread the Love campaign to the next level! Not only did he collect peanut butter donations from his neighbors—he matched their contributions, doubling the impact for our neighbors in need. This February, we're on a mission to collect 20,000 jars of peanut butter, and we need your help! Just like Gerry, you can rally your friends, family, or coworkers to donate jars of peanut butter. Or, if donating jars isn’t an option, a $20 donation helps us purchase 11 jars through our wholesale buying power! Let’s come together to spread the love and fight hunger. Join the movement today! refb.org/spreadthelove
