The "Neighborhood Hunger Network" is the backbone of our vast emergency system. Through wide-reaching hunger relief programs and partnerships, we remove barriers our neighbors face in seeking help, weaving a strong nutritional safety net to support our entire community. In 2023, our three initiatives reached 142,000 individuals, with the average person seeking assistance 2.5 times per month. The total value of food distributed reached a staggering $61,300,000, equivalent to 24,100,000 meals. We’re calling this food drive, Project Pasta! Our goal is ambitious, but we believe that with your enthusiastic participation, nothing is impastable. Why pasta, you ask? It makes a fantastic donation item due to its high nutritional value, long shelf life, and it’s a pantry staple for many families. We are honored and grateful to be among the recipients of a grant from the Healthy Petaluma District & Foundation this year, which is focused on supporting mental health services in southern Sonoma County. Through our shared commitment of building a healthier community, we are able to address food insecurity—a social determinant of both physical and mental health—for over 8,000 individuals in Petaluma every month. #GrantorWednesday

With nearly 20 years of nonprofit leadership experience, she is uniquely equipped to guide us in addressing food insecurity across Sonoma County and beyond.
