Our community-based, non-profit service-learning model implements best practices in teaching and learning through book distribution, free little libraries, homework assistance, preschool, afterschool programs, and enrichment activities.

?? Honoring Mary McLeod Bethune: A Trailblazer in Education ?? Mary McLeod Bethune (1875-1955) was a pioneer in education and civil rights, dedicating her life to empowering African American communities through knowledge and opportunity. ?? Key Milestones in Her Legacy: ? 1904: Founded the Daytona Literary and Industrial Training School for Negro Girls with just $1.50. It later became Bethune-Cookman University. ? 1924: First woman to lead the National Association of Colored Women. ? 1936: Advisor to President Roosevelt, giving African Americans a voice in federal policies. ? 1945: Only Black woman at the founding conference of the United Nations. Her words still resonate today: "Invest in the human soul. Who knows, it might be a diamond in the rough."
