For nearly 30 years, our premier leadership development program has prepared hundreds of Dallas commercial real estate executives to make their mark on our city’s business and civic communities. ?? You’ll make critical relationships, not just with your fellow classmates and chairs, but with some of the most accomplished business and civic leaders in Dallas. ?? Each month, you’ll get an exclusive look at the biggest issues affecting our city and take steps toward figuring out how you can help provide solutions. ?? You’ll receive personalized training from an executive coaching firm, so that in time, you’ll be prepared to lead your organization or start your own company. ?? Give the gift of safe and healthy housing this holiday season. As part of TREC Community Investors' 30th anniversary celebration, we’re participating in Giving Tuesday on December 3 to raise funding for our Minor Home Repair program. Since the program’s inception in 2022, we’ve repaired 38 homes throughout the Forest District, The Bottom, and West Dallas neighborhoods. In 2025, the program will expand into Mill City as part of the ongoing Dallas Catalyst Project. Your contributions – combined with our members’ professional expertise and our nonprofit partners throughout the DFW community – can make a huge impact on the communities we serve: ??? $100 can supply a family with necessary tools and materials for home repairs ??? $250 can provide materials and labor for repairing a leaky roof, protecting a home from water damage ??? $500 can replace old, unsafe wiring in a home and reduce the risk of electrical fires ??? $1,000 can cover the cost of repairing a home’s foundation and prevent further structural damage ??? $5,000 can fund the replacement of a damaged roof to ensure a home is safe and dry We are also grateful to Rosewood Foundation for contributing $25,000 in matching funds! Jamee joined us in early October, returning to The Real Estate Council (TREC) after previously serving as our director of public affairs and programs earlier in her career. She was most recently president and executive director of Uptown Dallas Inc. During her past tenure at TREC, Jamee managed the administration of the Klyde Warren Park initiative, which was one of our most notable impactful investments within our city. It’s been a tremendous honor to work alongside Matthew McManigle, Celesstia Valdez, and the rest of the Young Guns Community Investors Committee this past year to develop the revitalization of the Innercity Community Development Corporation (ICDC). I would like to give a sincere shoutout to Bryce Jackson and Austin Sheahan for organizing such a stellar Young Guns Casino Night, which delivered the means for the job at hand. We are set to complete construction by Spring 2025. There are numerous individuals that volunteered countless hours to the planning of this project, which would not have gone as smoothly without their care and expertise. I look forward to highlighting them upon the ribbon cutting ceremony. Progressing into 2025, I feel blessed to be serving as Vice Chair of the Young Guns Core Committee alongside Jasmin Ammons, as we continue to elevate the core values of this organization! Our team had the pleasure of joining an insightful discussion at The Real Estate Council (TREC) Young Guns Forum last week, where Oliver Barbier-Mueller, President of Harwood International took the stage with Evan Beattie of GFF, Aaron Bidne from Granite Properties, and Jamee Jolly, CAE, IOM of The Real Estate Council. Together, they dove into the future of Uptown, sharing fresh perspectives on growth, sustainability, and the path forward for this vibrant area. Grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with industry visionaries as we shape what’s next for our community.

I graduated from The Real Estate Council (TREC) Associate Leadership Council program back in 2008 and besides having the best of the best as classmates, I was blown away with the content and exposure given to us by each program day. When my fellow classmate, Jeff Matthews, asked me to help make this year’s program a success, I felt the pressure and was worried the day might feel long by the class given my topic for the day - Infrastructure. Boy was I was wrong! Time flew and the class wanted more on each topic discussed. It was an incredibly interesting and fun day with panelists that had the class engaged and curious because they understood how all the topics impacted their daily lives. The day included Regional Transportation; Parks and Trails; Power Infrastructure; Water, Wastewater, and Stormwater 101; The 23 Springs Story and Tour; and wrapped up with a chance to go down a Water Detention Vault - which made for a day the class and I will never forget. Special thanks to the awesome committee that helped me (Ryan Koch, Emily Zoellner, and Huntley Lewis, P.E.) and to the incredible leaders/speakers who had us all wanting to hear more about their topics (Michael Morris, Rick Perdue, April Allen, Alex Para, David Liggitt, Wilson Peppard, P.E., Aaron Bidne, Ryan Koch).
