?? Happy National Coming Out Day! ?? Today, we celebrate the bravery, authenticity, and resilience of LGBTQ+ individuals who have made the decision to live openly and authentically. Coming out is a deeply personal journey that can be both empowering and challenging, especially in the workplace. However, research shows that 46% of LGBTQ+ employees feel the need to "cover" or hide their identities at work. This not only affects their mental health but also impacts their ability to bring their full selves to work. ?? Workplaces should be safe spaces where everyone feels valued and respected for who they are. As we continue to champion diversity and inclusion, let's commit to creating environments where LGBTQ+ individuals feel supported, empowered, and seen—today and every day. ?? Employees, leaders, and allies—let’s make our workplaces inclusive, celebrate all identities, and advocate for policies and cultures that support the LGBTQ+ community. Together, we can ensure that no one feels the need to hide who they are in order to succeed. Join us for Rainbow Disruptcon on January 30 & 31 to learn more about making the workplace an inclusive environment for LGBTQ+ employees. www.rainbowdisruptcon.com #NationalComingOutDay #LGBTQ #Inclusion #DEI #SafeWorkplace #Pride
??? Happy World Mental Health Day! ??? Today, we recognize the critical importance of mental health, especially in the workplace. Did you know that 1 in 5 adults experience mental illness each year? ?? Additionally, workplaces that prioritize mental health see a 21% increase in productivity and a 40% decrease in absenteeism. Mental well-being is not just a personal issue; it profoundly affects team dynamics, employee engagement, and overall organizational success. HR and people leaders have the power to foster a culture of support and openness around mental health but it is everyones responsibility to be mindful of how our individual actions contribute to the mental wellbeing of our colleagues. Here are a few ways to make mental health a workplace priority: 1?? Promote Mental Health Resources: Ensure employees know about available mental health support. 2?? Encourage Work-Life Balance: Advocate for flexible schedules and time off to recharge. 3?? Create a Safe Space for Conversations: Foster an environment where employees feel comfortable discussing mental health. Let’s commit to prioritizing mental health in our workplaces. Together, we can create a supportive culture that nurtures the well-being of every employee! ?? #WorldMentalHealthDay #MentalHealthMatters #WorkplaceWellness #HR #MentalHealth
?? Corporate DEI Rollbacks: The Impact on LGBTQ+ Employees and Consumers A recent Human Rights Campaign (HRC) survey found that corporate rollbacks of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs are having serious consequences. According to HRC, nearly 1 in 5 LGBTQ+ adults would consider quitting or looking for a new job if their employer scaled back DEI initiatives. Even more striking, 72% of respondents said they would feel less included or accepted at work. This isn’t just an internal issue—it’s affecting consumer sentiment as well. 8 in 10 LGBTQ+ adults surveyed said they would boycott companies that roll back DEI efforts. More than half would go further, encouraging others to join them by leaving negative reviews and sharing on social media. These numbers should be a wake-up call for organizations thinking about deprioritizing DEI. The business implications are clear: scaling back these efforts risks not only your employee retention but also your brand reputation. Now is the time for companies to double down on DEI—not retreat from it. People are paying attention, and they want to work for, and buy from, brands that stand firm in their commitment to inclusion. #DEI #LGBTQ #Inclusion #Diversity #CorporateResponsibility #EmployeeExperience #Trust #HR

Happy #HispanicHeritageMonth! ?? While Hispanic and Latinx workers make up over 18% of the U.S. labor force, they continue to face systemic barriers to advancement in the workplace. Did you know only 4% of senior executive roles are held by Hispanic and Latinx professionals? Let's recognize these challenges while advocating for more equitable pathways to leadership and career growth for all. #HispanicHeritageMonth #Equity #WorkplaceInclusion

In HR Dive, our own Jarvis Sam weighs in on this pivotal issue, emphasizing the long-term risks companies face if they fail to invest in meaningful inclusion.
