L A PUBLIC THEATRE INC is a producing theatre company doing business as The Public Theatre. The Public Theatre is Small Professional Equity Theatre located in Lewiston, Maine, producing 5-7 contemporary plays in our a 315 seat theater each Sept-May. With a top ticket price of $30, we believe theatre is for everyone and strive to create inspiring, entertaining, and inclusive experiences that celebrate our shared humanity. The Public Theatre is nationally recognized for its artistic excellence and has been voted BEST THEATRE COMPANY in Maine seven times by Down East Magazine's readers’ poll.
