Congratulations to Aiden the Championship Gold Belt winner of the Rock em' Sock em' battles this past weekend! He battled all night and advanced through the semi-finals to the Title Match against Liam and proved victorious!

In this video, we see the beauty of Tim Hartis and friends with the Downtown Jazz Jam held monthly at The Power House in Rock Hill, SC, at the University Center. Assorted and random musicians appear out of nowhere, begin playing together each month, and entertain folks delightfully! It's an all-out opportunity to jam, and anyone is welcome! DOWNTOWN JAZZ JAM Anniversary Event Nov. 3 ? ROCK HILL, SC?–?DOWNTOWN JAZZ JAM?celebrates its one-year anniversary on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2024 with special guest Mark Rapp and his band leading a free jazz workshop and open jam session. The band will also perform a free concert. ? Mark is founder and executive director of the ColaJazz Foundation in Columbia, SC, a non-profit that promotes jazz through education and performance.??Mark is the official S.C. Jazz Ambassador, as voted on by the S.C. House of Representatives.??Mark, a trumpeter, has performed with pop and jazz greats.?? ? The free anniversary event will take place 4 pm to 7 pm on Nov. 3 at The Power House in Rock Hill.??Area musicians, including students, are invited to the 4 pm jazz workshop and 5 pm jam session.??The public is invited to the 6 pm concert by The Mark Rapp Quintet. ? The free 4 pm workshop will be led by Mark and his band, along with area top jazz educators, including Winthrop University professors.??Workshop participants are encouraged to sign up in advance. ? The anniversary event will be held outdoors on the stage, lawn, and patio of The Power House.??The public is welcome to bring lawn chairs.??In case of bad weather, the event will be inside the Food Hall.??The Food Hall will be open for purchases.??Middle James Brewing Company will also be open. ? Fall Goat Yoga at Middle James Brewing!!! We will be on the grassy open field at The Power House. We will host 45-1hr of beginner level yoga with all our baby goats. They love yoga because every participant is a playground to jump on or comfy arms to take a nap in. After yoga we will have picture time where we will help you in various yoga positions with goats on top, group pictures or just more snuggle time. Then head into Middle James Brewing the newest addition to the YOCO Beer Trail and enjoy a draft. A beer is included in your ticket. You can also grab dinner after at the food court. This is not your chain restaurant food court folks! Each kiosk is individually run by local chefs. You can also venture in to the many retail shops located with in walking distance. The Power House is hosting Weigh Ins for the Cage Fighters event!. Make sure to attend it on September 13.

This Friday, the 13th (September 13), we will host the historic Weigh-ins at The Power House with cage fighters bristling at one another! Special drinks, including our ALL NEW BLOODY MARY with Bacon, will be available. Everything starts at 6 pm, so come early and dine with us! Afterward, we will head to Middle James Brewing for Arm Wrestling. Can your biceps take it??? A special meet the fighters green room is available for $100.00 per couple.

We were proud to host City of Rock Hill team members on Friday who take care of our utilities! We prepared President James Knox Polk's Cottage Pie that his wife, Sarah Childress Polk loved making. We met with many residents and folks who mentioned they read about us online and in The Rock Hill Herald. Chefs Marti & Stormy Mongiello cooked in the awesome Power House Apartments on (and in) the Samsung Smart Things stove!!! This is a classic dish from the UK made with ground beef. When done with lamb, it becomes Shepherd's Pie. We, of course use the famous Lea and Perrin's Sauce from the Shire of Worcester in our version and plenty of red wine! We served this on Friday, for a special media only event, welcoming the press to see the Sherbert Group's building of The Power House, our team of chefs and cooks whom own their own restaurants of Rolled AF, Milo's, The Pink Tomato, FRESHPRESS, Flora Coffee, Bakery, and Plants, the Bare Knuckles Barbershop, Middle James Brewery, Cooking School, Museum factory tours, and everything our CEO, Tara Sherbert has helped create and build.
