?? Introducing our new podcast, The Monthly Truth – the conversation no one is having, but everyone needs to hear ?? PMDD is life-changing, debilitating, and still shockingly misunderstood. Too many people suffer in silence, dismissed by doctors and left without answers. In our first episode, we sit down with our very own Phoebe Williams, founder of The PMDD Project, to talk about: ?? The years of confusion and being told "it’s just PMS" ?? The misdiagnosis and medical gaslighting ?? The TRUTH about PMDD and why no one talks about it ?? The fight for awareness and real change with The PMDD Project If you’ve ever felt alone, unheard, or dismissed, this conversation is for you. ?? ?? https://lnkd.in/eSjDVyTy ?? https://lnkd.in/eJNG4NwD #PMDD #WomensHealth #MentalHealthAwareness #TheMonthlyTruth #ThePMDDProject #BreakTheStigma

#PMDDawareness The PMDD Project #creativewriting I don’t wish I’d never met you, nor do I wish you weren’t a part of my life. But I do wish I had known more about you before we were introduced. I wish I had understood just how deeply you would affect every part of my life, how often you would make me feel worthless. I wish I had realised that my past traumas and experiences would only fuel your fire, leaving me feeling powerless and lost. I wish I had learned sooner how to recognize what triggered you, how to navigate around you—so I wouldn’t feel like I was constantly upsetting you. But here we are, 17 years in. I have lived with you, breathed you, embraced you. And despite everything, I wouldn’t change this journey for the world. You have pushed me to become a better person—to strive for the best version of myself. You have forced me to prioritise my health and wellbeing, to recognise my inner strength, and to learn how to work with you rather than against you. Through you, I have met incredible women who inspire me. You have empowered me to embrace my femininity and to see the resilience, empathy, and compassion within me. You have challenged me, broken me, and yet, you have made me step up and show up—every single day, no matter how tough it gets. I’m still learning. Still growing. Still embracing you. And guess what? You are no longer my enemy. You are my teacher, my confidant—a daily reminder of just how much I admire women, and most of all, myself. Thank you, PMDD.

Happy International Women’s Day from GKP! This International Women’s Day, we are proud to stand with women everywhere as we #AccelerateAction toward a more equitable future. Last week we celebrated the day in both our Erbil and London offices by hosting a charity raffle. In London we raised money for The PMDD Project – a charity that helps to raise awareness, provide support and fund research for people suffering with Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). While PMS is more widely recognised, PMDD sufferers experience more severe symptoms. The money raised in Erbil will help supply a local orphanage with much needed supplies for young children. #IWD2025 #AccelerateAction #GenderEquity

This International Women’s Day, the theme is #Accelerate, and at The PMDD Project, we are accelerating change for the PMDD community - because progress can’t wait. PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder) affects 1 in 20 women and AFAB individuals, yet it remains underfunded, under-researched, and misunderstood. Too many people are suffering in silence, misdiagnosed, dismissed, and struggling to access the support they need. ?? We are accelerating awareness by ensuring PMDD is recognised in workplaces, healthcare systems, and beyond. ?? We are accelerating access to practical resources, helping people advocate for themselves and get the right support. ?? We are accelerating action by pushing for policy change so PMDD is taken seriously at every level. This IWD 2025, you can help us accelerate change by supporting our work. Donate, share, get involved - because together, we can make a difference. Find out more on IWD website!
