January is Wrapping Up – Did You Set the Right Foundation for 2025? Just like that, the first month of the year is almost over. If you’re leading a nonprofit or mission-driven organization, you know how easy it is to get caught up in the day-to-day. But here’s the real question: Did you spend January being intentional about where you’re headed—or just reacting to whatever came your way? Great leaders know that success isn’t about checking off tasks; it’s about setting the right foundation. If January was about getting things in motion, then February needs to be about clarity, focus, and execution. As we step into a new month, here are three questions every nonprofit leader should ask themselves: 1. Are we clear on our top priorities for 2024? Not just goals—but what actually matters most. 2. Do we have a roadmap to achieve them? Hope isn’t a strategy. A well-thought-out plan is. 3. Are we making decisions based on our mission—or just putting out fires? The best leaders work on their organization, not just in it. If you don’t have clear answers to these, let’s talk.
