We would like to get this service to those who need it most, who would like to explore therapy or do not have the benefit of covered therapy costs through insurance. Please share. Here are the details: - It is a 100% completely free 6-week group therapy session on the topic of Anxiety & Stress Reduction. - Caity Gallagher is the LMHC leading these sessions. - Group sessions take place on Tuesday evenings from 6pm to 7:15pm (10/15, 10/22, 10/29, 11/5, 11/12 and 11/19). - Space is capped at 10 people. All info will be sent to the LMHC, only. - Pine Hollow Arboretum’s visitor center has been used by several therapy groups in the past and the response has been incredibly positive. Happy Arbor Day ??! Have you explored The Pine Hollow Arboretum recently? NOW is the best time of year (with muck boots). Explore our “living library” of trees from around the world, while also learning about the amazing native trees & plants too! The trees listed in this blog were selected by me. It was hard to choose 5 trees out of 3,000!

I’m working with a sponsor to develop a FREE therapy space at the Pine Hollow Arbroetum house. We’ve had therapists & counselors host group sessions before and the house worked really well to create a calming and nurturing environment. Are you a licensed therapist/ counselor that speaks more than one language? I’d love to connect. Marcescence is a trait that some deciduous trees show, which is when leaves senesce or wither but hang onto the tree until late Winter or early Spring. The best know types of trees that show this trait are American beech and oaks. Since this trait is seen on young trees, it it is said that they use this foliage to protect themselves from deer and other mammals where lower branches are vulnerable. One thing is for certain, nature is COOL and trees are SMART Thank you Native Plants of the Northeast for assisting in the description of this unique trait and phenomenon.
