?? The first 2025 grant application cycle for the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office Forfeiture Fund is now open! Grants will range from $15,000 to $50,000, with an average grant size of $25,000. This application cycle is only open to multifaceted re-entry and workforce development programs, including job placement. Organizations with strong community roots that support re-entry and marginally employed individuals, including at-risk groups like immigrant communities, will be prioritized. Eligible programs should focus on training and job placement, providing services that address barriers and promote employment and general well-being. Applications due by March 14th. Jacobs Fund, The Wistar Institute’s latest publication was released highlighting the successful preclinical results of their new anti-HIV approach: NuKES, or Natural Killer Enhancement Strategy, which targets viral reservoirs. The 2024-25 Gun Violence Prevention Network (GVPN) Cohort met for their third meeting in Oakland, CA this week, generously hosted by Brandi Howard, President & CEO of the East Bay Community Foundation. CFLeads' Gun Violence Prevention Network brings community foundation teams together to build a base of knowledge in effective gun violence prevention practice and advance these practices in the communities they serve. ?? Each community foundation team in the 2024-25 GVPN Cohort brought deep insights, valuable solutions and challenges, and intentional reflections on how they can best serve their communities.
