YOU VOTE: what was TPI President Alex Herrgott telling media at CERA Week? Comment 1: "For the CEOs in the room, the world’;s largest energy investors, it’s time for us to move beyond this week’s CERA conservation focus on the rearrangement of energy priorities post-election. Instead, we should embrace the collective national opportunity presented by the Trump 2.0 permitting regime, which is already invigorating trillions in previously dormant capital into the U.S. economy." Comment 2: "While straddling your hedge on the scaled-back Biden IRA funding and tax credits, trillions in federal funds and financing have already been deployed since 2020 without those credits. These funds have been leveraged and matched by billions more from you in this room; you don't need D.C. Embrace the new world. Let’s get to work—Build, Baby, Build." Comment 3: "For the CEOs in the room, the largest energy investors in the world, it’s time to move beyond this week’s CERA conservation focus on how the energy deck chairs have been rearranged post-election and embrace the national opportunity of the Trump 2.0 permitting regime, which is invigorating trillions in previously dormant capital into the U.S. economy." Comment 4: "As AI developers “narrow deep” into what their new software can do, remember that AI can produce a tremendous amount of data. However, without the context of what developers need, including permitting matrices and market realities, integrating the value proposition will remain opaque."

Infrastructure advocacy from concept to completion.
关于我们
The Permitting Institute serves as a central resource and leading advocate for accelerating investment in rebuilding, expanding, and modernizing America’s aging infrastructure, while preserving our environmental, cultural, and historic treasures.? We are a big-tent coalition championing a non-partisan, common-sense approach to the project permitting process that rises above the current quagmire of inaction, legal injunctions, and political posturing. We’re erasing the lines in the sand that have long divided stakeholders and building bridges to a common ground that seizes on opportunities to deliver billions in new projects and strengthened environmental outcomes, across all infrastructure sectors. We believe in the principle that the permitting process should be faster than it is today, without sacrificing the quality of the decisions made. The costs of delays and indecision are simply too high, undermining new infrastructure initiatives in the Administration, Congress, states, cities, counties, Tribal Nations, and local communities across America.? There is a better way. It’s time to build.

"If the National Environmental Policy Act is going to be significantly changed every four years, that raises huge uncertainty for project developers,” said Herrgott, now president of the Permitting Institute. “There’s a chilling effect on developers’ ability to put capital at risk, because you don’t know where you’re going to be several years from now. I am advising developers to hire fortune tellers along with their team of attorneys and technical staff,” Herrgott said. “They’re going to need it.”

“You are the unsung heroes who make things happen. Without you, the sausage will still get made, but the concrete would never be poured. The thousands of project managers in here and around the country will define the success of more than $5 Trillion in federal investment over next 5 years. TPI is committed to keeping D.C. out of your way”. It’s time to Build!!

“ We have the largest renewable and conventional energy CEOs in the world in this room today, individually and collectively far more important than any member of Congress, and I think we can all admit that if our only hope of cutting the project delivery times from 10 to 2 years for $1.5 Trillion in solar, wind, mining, hydroelectric, Co2 storage, oil and gas pipelines, hydrogen and transmission projects, is Congress’ ability to get out of its own way—the generations that replace us will judge our inaction and lack of courage harshly”
