Today marks my first full year as Executive Director of The Patriot Fund, Inc. I stepped into this role with a deep respect for our Veterans but little understanding of the struggles many face after service. ?Ignorance was bliss, but learning about the staggering reality has been life changing. The transition to civilian life can be immensely difficult, and the despair that leads dozens of Veterans to die by suicide every day is heartbreaking.?Personally, it is this tragic reality that fuels my passion for our mission. Yet, amidst these challenges, I find tremendous inspiration in the resilience of those who refuse to let their challenges define them and in the power of the community rallying behind them. The highlights of the past year and the meaningful bonds I’ve formed are too numerous to list, but I appreciate everyone that’s supported my personal growth within this amazing community.?Your support, encouragement, guidance, and advice means more than you know! Our Grant Cycle is still in full motion! Congratulations to Patriot Point, one of our newest Operational Partners, for becoming a part of our Veteran support network!?? Patriot Point is the Military Bowl Foundation’s 294-acre retreat that offers a safe, secure, and tranquil outdoor recreational facility. They serve wounded, ill, and injured active-duty service members, Veterans, their families, and caregivers who face daily challenges due to their service in defense of our great nation. Vice President of The Patriot Fund, Inc., Pam Soladine-Davis, and Director of Operations, Jeanne Erra, presented the check to Patriot Point in February of this year.
