#ICYMI A Toast To Tomorrow: The Partnership Celebrating Black History Month and Leadership We had an incredible time at our Toast to Tomorrow Event at the The B Suite last month, welcoming this year’s cohort of Minnesota Black Fellows at this high impact event co-hosted with the Minnesota Business Coalition for Racial Equity (MBCRE). This night of connection and celebration, surrounded by alumni, community, and business leaders, highlighted the kind of impact we can make for generations to come when we work together. A huge thank you to our inspiring Champions panel, which Included Partnership COO Carmen Arce, Chair of the MBCRE Advisory Council Tiffani Daniels, Chief People and Culture Officer at Bremer Bank, Colette Campbell, and Diversity Equity and Inclusion Specialist at Land O'Lakes, Inc., Phenecia Lindsey. In addition to introducing this year’s cohort, we had the chance to honor a very special leader, whose resolve, acumen, and vision helped create the Minnesota Black Fellows Cohort. From the early moments of The Partnership's introduction to the Minnesota Business Community, Tiffani Daniels has been a collaborator and champion of investing into the leadership of Black Minnesotans, and it was an honor to acknowledge her work and partnership with the event’s first ever impact award! Thank you, Tiffani! We are so grateful to our co-host and sponsor of this event, MBCRE and look forward to continuing to grow and strengthen this program as they enter a new era of leadership with Dr. Angela Spranger as Managing Director of the Coalition. We are grateful to the members of the Coalition past and present who have supported and sponsored this programming, including Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, Bremer Bank, Delta Dental of Minnesota, Fairview Health Services, General Mills, Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity, Land O'Lakes, Inc., McKnight Foundation, Target, and Thrivent. And finally, it is impossible to talk about the success of this event without acknowledging the fantastic Black Owned Businesses that made this gathering so special. Thank you to the B Suite, Ms. Vickeys, Diversity Connection, and Leverette Weekes! We are excited to see the continued growth and success of our fellows throughout their program year and beyond. If you are feeling the FOMO by now, don't worry! Stay tuned for a virtual introduction of this year’s Minnesota fellow's cohort! #Leadership #MinnesotaBusinessCommunity #MyPartnership

WE LOOK TO THEM: Mellody Hobson Mellody Hobson has spent her career reshaping corporate America, not just through her work at Ariel Investments but by advocating for diversity and financial literacy across the business world. As co-CEO of Ariel Investments, she has led the firm to become one of the largest Black-owned asset management companies in the U.S. Under her leadership, Ariel has maintained a focus on responsible investing, diversity in its investment strategies, and building financial literacy for underrepresented communities. Hobson’s impact extends far beyond finance. As the first Black woman to become the chair of Starbucks, she championed the company’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, advocating for racial equity both inside and outside the company. She played a critical role in Starbucks’ decision to hire 10,000 veterans and military spouses, and she continues to drive corporate responsibility efforts that address social and economic inequality. Mellody’s work encourages us to think about how we can create inclusive workplaces and provide pathways to success for underrepresented individuals. Her dedication to giving back and making a difference in the community resonates deeply with us at The Partnership, where we prioritize creating opportunities for all individuals to thrive. #MyPartnership #DEI #WeLookToThem

"Last night was a historic election and I'm really honored to be part of this moment" Join us as we congratulate NGE alum Garrison McMurtrey on his election to the Ramsey County Board in Minnesota! Garrison won a special election last Tuesday to represent District 3, which includes Falcon Heights and several neighborhoods in St. Paul. Garrison is the first Black man elected to a Minnesota county board, but certainly not the last. We wish him all the best as he takes on this new role and, as always, we'll be there every step of the way in support! #Leadership #PublicService #NGEAlum #CommunityLeadership
