Today we celebrated the Grand Opening of The Legacy at Carr Heights in Charlotte, NC. Addressing the need for affordable housing is the most cost-effective way to lift residents out of poverty and attract businesses and jobs to a given community. We strive to bring well-constructed, well-managed, beautiful properties that raise the property values on which they are built as well as enhance their neighborhoods. The Legacy at Carr Heights, like most of our affordable housing opportunities, was a massive undertaking, developed on more than four acres of land with $31 million in funds. These are the most gratifying of days as we take a small step towards addressing the country’s shortage of affordable housing. We would like to thank everyone that helped it come to fruition: Fifth Third Bank, Raymond James, Barings, LISC Charlotte, Charlotte Housing Opportunity Investment Fund, City of Charlotte, NCHFA, INLIVIAN, the West Boulevard Neighborhood Coalition, West Side Community Land Trust (West Side CLT) as well as Give Impact. https://lnkd.in/eYU2sZif
