This week The Orion Companies’ Chief Growth Officer, Matt Nespeca, made his annual visit to the Auburn University College of Forestry, Wildlife and Environment to give a talk to the “Forestry in the Private Sector” class. This talk was focused on forest vegetation management and the careers that exist in the forestry industry.
Matt stated, “It is fun to share a little bit about the history of forestry herbicide use in the Southeastern US and to talk to the students about how great of a decision it was to go to work for American Cyanamid back in 1997, which kick-started my career in so many ways. I appreciate the opportunity to return to Auburn where I received my BS in Forest Management and talk to current students who undoubtedly will bring new ideas and technologies into the industry which is critical to its sustainability.”
On behalf of Matt, sincere thanks to Marc Walley, Weaver Professor, Marissa "Jo" Daniel, Assistant Professor of Forest Operations, and Heather Crozier, Director of Development, for their commitment to forest management and for welcoming Matt.??
Another example of our team giving back, way to go Matt!????
