Grants from the Fairview Trust will build affordable housing across the state for Oregonians living with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Spaces that are universally designed for accessibility will allow them to live more independently and build a great sense of community. The latest infusion of funding is the single largest investment by the Fairview Trust since the closure of the Fairview Training Center in 2000. OCF is pleased to announce the new grantees of the 2024 Creative Heights Initiative, investing $1 million in 14 thought-provoking arts and culture projects, made possible through a generous gift from the estate of Fred W. Fields, and additional funds from the Wieden Family Public Foundation. Grants ranging from $15,000 to $100,000 will support projects that celebrate bold creativity, elevate cultural voices and examine some of the deep challenges facing Oregonians. Congratulations to Gray Family Foundation (Portland, OR) Executive Director Nancy Bales on two fronts: First, she is celebrating 10 years as leader of this supporting organization of Oregon Community Foundation, continuing the legacy of John and Betty Gray by sustaining a vision of Oregon as a vibrant, inclusive, and civic-minded society.
