    The Orange Peel Collaborative's founder Tia Christopher attended the AI Horizons Pittsburgh conference yesterday. Pennsylvania Governor Shapiro participate in a fireside chat and representatives from NVIDIA, Google, Carnegie Mellon University, BNY, as well as start ups, VCs, nonprofits, and even the DoD were present to discuss what an AI Future looks like for Pittsburgh. Famous for being an industry powerhouse beginning with glass and coal- Pittsburgh is positioning to be a leader in not only robotics, but as a global advanced tech hub as well. Exciting things are coming and the OP Collab is pleased to have our headquarters here. Stay tuned for a new blog post as we dive deeper into yesterday's event.

    The OP Collab team got to sit in on another impactful LinkedIn Live Power of the Pack session from The Female Quotient. As a woman veteran owned small business, the OP Collab firmly believes that business culture needs to continue to change the way we help employees to feel heard and represented and that includes shifting how we talk about, react to, and create policies around mental wellness in the workplace. Women leaders like today's panelists are continually stepping up to spearhead the conversation, including actionable steps for employers to foster a supportive and empowering workplace.     Today was another fabulous LinkedIn live from The Female Quotient. Amber Coleman-Mortley hosted a panel of incredible thought leaders, business women, and mental health professionals to discuss how we can foster mental wellness in the workplace. Jill Katz emphasized that, "There is no such thing as work life and personal. It's just life." Especially for the amount of us who work remotely- setting boundaries is often blurred and that can heighten our workload and stress level- especially when being a "yes person" is ingrained in our hustle culture. When asked about how we can increase psychological safety in the workplace, Alicia C. Easter reminded us that we need to know what our individual needs are and how this can be communicated effectively. Chana (Brissett) Shinegba followed up that it is equally important for employers to foster an environment where people can express they are ok. It is inspiring to me that women are stepping up to be thought leaders and changemakers on this topic. Change is possible and we can be the catalysts. Sophia Ukor The Orange Peel Collaborative
