The Olympic Club Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that supports and encourages participation by Bay Area youth in amateur athletics. Our mission is to support programs which share our belief that participation in organized athletics enriches young lives and develops future community leaders. For 27 years, The Olympic Club Foundation (OCF) has been funding youth organizations in the 9 San Francisco Bay Area counties to enable them to provide sports participation to low income children and teens. OCF has funded over 250 local non-profits serving over 250,000 young athletes, particularly those young athletes who lack access to affordable sports. The Foundation is the philanthropic arm of The Olympic Club--the oldest athletic club in the United States. The Club has a 159-year history of community service and formalized its philanthropic outreach with the creation of The Olympic Club Foundation in 1992. The Olympic Club Foundation's annual premier fundraiser, #FightNight for Charity, was a remarkable night for a few reasons: 1) We raised a record-shattering $1 million for underserved bay area youth sports programs. 2) I had the honor of ring announcing in front of Michael Buffer. If you don't recognize the name, I promise you, you recognize his work. He's the legendary boxing and pro wrestling ring announcer who coined the iconic phrase "Let's get ready to rumble!" Ring announcing in front of him is the equivalent of playing basketball in front of Michael Jordan. Buffer is the undisputed GOAT ring announcer and to have him publicly praise my work after the event means the world to me. This journey continues to be peppered with magical moments. Our Poet-Athlete superstar Crissler kicked-off the event with a reading of her poem, “The Beautiful Game,” which brought the audience of 400 guests to their feet in thunderous applause.
