  • Our 2024 EXPLORE Healthcare Summit and OAFP Scientific Assembly is underway and day one was a success! We started off the day with an amazing session with Robyn Benincasa and continued with several sessions from legislative updates to technology in healthcare. In the afternoon, the OAFP held their board meeting where we also had the privilege of having Dr. Karen Smith with us from the American Academy of Family Physicians. Finally, we ended the day at the Devon Boathouse with music, good food, and great company!

  • Just this last weekend, the OAFP was able to award 17 students and residents across the state of Oklahoma a scholarship to attend the American Academy of Family Physicians National Conference in Kansas City! Our students and residents were about to network with residency programs, hear from fantastic keynote speakers, and attend a multitude of workshops to further their education in the world of family medicine. On Friday night of the conference, we had the privilege of hosting a dinner reception with our friends at the Iowa Academy of Family Physicians where all students and residents as well as program directors were able to get together from both states and share their love for family medicine. Huge thank you to the Family Health Foundation of Oklahoma for making this possible. The future of family medicine is bright!
