This painting evolved into more than I had intended. I painted it to be part of an exhibit themed "Beginnings" and I'm calling it "The Night I Met You." I envisioned an exciting, sparkling, romantic painting. It turned out shadowy, ambivalent, moody, mysterious. I do think it's also kind of exciting. To me, this painting is about making choices, saying yes to one thing and no to others, taking risks, seeking comfort, finding oneself. What does it make you think and feel? I'd love to know.
