I used to dream on dive bar napkins. Then, a more refined sticky note system emerged. Eventually, elaborate spreadsheets became my thing. And now this. A clear vision and actionable plan. My own business. Just waiting to launch. But I wasn't ready... ____________________________________ Intro to Building The Northfield Life: From Scratch 3 months ago, almost to the day, I sat at my computer to assemble what I thought would be an easy offer... a simple funnel reconfigured from a template, targeting an ideal customer avatar in a highly profitable niche, so I could sell basic, scalable automations and proven sales solutions, aimed to ease a big, common pain. Days began to pass as I watched others make the cold calls and close the deals. Every day I came to understand a new truth that would bring my plan closer to certain success. Or so it would seem. But inevitably Mondays became Fridays and weekends were quickly lost to desperation fueled fugues of hyperfocus. The goal was in sight. I was ready to launch... any moment now... But I didn't. I couldn't. For weeks and weeks at a time. And I didn't understand why. "No one will save you but you," I heard the voice in the video say. Something I've always known but hadn't quite learned until right then. Yet, even that harsh lesson didn't snap me from my freeze response. Finally, I resigned to send out something. Anything at all. If only because you only have to do something for the first time the first time. Get it over with, I thought. And so the initial offers went out. And there I was, no closer to my goal.
