Meet Kay'Chanel, a remarkable example of resilience and success. Over a decade ago, she came to The Night Ministry’s shelter for pregnant and parenting youth, a supportive space designed to empower young mothers by offering resources and stability as they work toward self-sufficiency. Today, Kay'Chanel is a successful business owner and entrepreneur. Her journey recently took her to Ghana, where she volunteered her expertise to teach young women hairdressing skills—entirely free of charge. In her interview, Kay'Chanel expressed heartfelt gratitude for The Night Ministry, crediting its foundational support for guiding her to where she is now.

A story for #YouthHOPEMonth: Silvono and Chris were among the thousands of young people who experience homelessness in Chicago. But now it’s been nearly two months since they moved from one of The Night Ministry’s youth shelters into their own apartment. As we kick off Youth HOPE Month, we are excited to share that Chicago has been awarded $15 million to address youth homelessness! Young people with lived experience played a key role in obtaining the funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. They will also be instrumental in developing the strategy to utilize the funding to end youth homelessness in Chicago. #YouthHOPEMonth
