It's official, Dr. Sanchez has been chosen as the NYS Superintendent of the year. He will be honored at our Winter Institute in Albany on March 2-4, 2025, and he will represent New York as the state’s nominee for consideration as the national Superintendent of the Year, awarded by the American Association of School Administrators (AASA) in New Orleans on March 6-8, 2025. Congratulations to Dr. Sanchez for this well deserved title and nomination!

New Superintendents Institute 2024-2025 cohort began this week. On the second day of the New Superintendents Institute the cohort visited the State Education Department for a meeting with Commissioner Betty Rosa and Senior Deputy Commissioner for Education Policy Jeffrey Matteson. They were joined by NYSCOSS Executive Director Charles Dedrick and NYSCOSS President Lars Clemensen.
