Time in the garden is good for the soul! We caught up this week with the volunteers behind New Albany's The Garden for All, which was founded in 2020 and has continued to grow in size and impact each year. Flowers and produce grown in the garden and tended by volunteers is then donated to local food pantries and community organizations. The Foundation was pleased to be able to provide a grant to The Garden for All in support of its mission and applauds the volunteers who are working hard to extend its impact. #NewAlbanyOhio #communitygrants #thegardenforall #buildingcommunity

Last week, the Foundation convened representatives of area companies as well as city, school and township leaders at Axium's headquarters in the New Albany International Business Park to discuss environmental sustainability shared goals and to share best practices, especially related to recycling. As one of the Foundation’s strategic areas of focus, environmental sustainability efforts will include increasing impact by raising awareness and working collaboratively on sustainability measures. We’re encouraged by the practices that are already in use by New Albany’s business community and the openness with which they approached the topic of innovation, collaboration and enhancement of existing efforts. Thank you to Clarence Mingo of T. Marzetti Company for opening our program last night and supporting the New Albany Lecture Series. Clarence is also a veteran of the Gulf War so it was particularly meaningful to have him introduce General Wesley Clark, Malcolm Nance and Martha Raddatz.
