Neurodiversity Celebration Week – LBG. It made me feel really proud to hear from our GEC sponsor ?Jasjyot Singh OBE and Rachel Osikoya at the ActionAble conference last week. They outlined the great progress we have made in 2024 and we also announced our broader Disability and Neurodiversity ACCESS role models last week as well. It was great to see so many amazing people recognised across the Group. We've been busy refreshing and relaunching our broader 2025 strategy and wanted to update on our plans for Neurodiversity Celebration Week 2025. The theme of the week is about celebrating different minds. Whilst we know that being neurodivergent can come with some challenges, it also brings unique strengths and perspectives that can be unlocked with the right adjustments. Bringing together different ways of thinking is key to solving transformational challenges. We built some fantastic foundations last year through our different Neurodivergent communities as well as our 13 regional HUBS right across the UK.?I do believe it’s these communities and our fantastic ThisIsMe training that are enabling us to drive real cultural change here in LBG and I’m so proud of colleague efforts right across the UK to make that happen. Celebrating Different Minds A panel discussion featuring senior LBG business leaders Ranil Boteju Peter Steel Maria Carmen Herrero and global Neurodiversity leader Maureen N. Dunne, Ph.D. will highlight the value of diverse thinking in solving key challenges and the importance of supporting Neurodivergent colleagues to achieve their potential. It will also cover how Neurodivergent colleagues will be key in a future world dominated by linear AI systems. Enabling Neurodivergent Colleagues A panel session with Group Health and Wellbeing lead Emma Stacey, our Group Head of Talent Neil Munro Munro, and Sakura B. and Dan Bird from our Neurodiversity Community to ?discuss how adjustments enable Neurodivergent colleagues in the workplace and recruitment and our plans for enhancing these processes in 2025. Driving Acceptance Across our regional sites in LBG A podcast hosted by two of ND community Marianne Thompson & Wayne Clarkson will focus on how our ND communities are driving behavioural change and acceptance. Our Regional ND HUBs will also bring Neurodivergent colleagues together to discuss their impact across the Group. A Movement for Neuro-Inclusion 2024 marked the year when our Neurodiversity strategy became a movement, thanks to the efforts of amazing colleagues across all levels of seniority within our Group. We want 2025 to be the year when we drive acceptance and empowerment for all ND colleagues right across the Group. Neurodivergent people are different not less. #NCW2025 #Differentnotless Lisa Rhodes Kate Grannell Ed James Jamie Johnson Harriet Roberts Kirstie Pollard-Hawkins Mahari Hay Gill Spensley Steve Carter Rebecca Dodds Tom Berry Adam Sanders Nicola Stewart

One year ago, I was in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles for the recording?of my podcast?interview for Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard. It felt surreal to be the first person to be invited on the show?to talk about #neurodiversity and a bit intimidating --?especially considering that his guests have been predominantly celebrities and household name authors and experts. I knew, unlike other podcasts, Dax is known to directly probe into the personal and the messy. That morning, I spent a lot of time swimming, doing breathing exercises, and most importantly, deciding that I would allow myself to be vulnerable?and talk openly about my personal story if asked alongside questions about my book and my academic?expertise. Many people?in the neurodiversity community knew my story for years but disclosure on a platform with 20 million monthly listeners was a totally different thing. Some well-intentioned people advised me strongly to dodge any personal questions. Disclosure is a very personal choice. That afternoon, I sat across from Dax and Monica in literal armchairs and had a most enlightening?conversation, one I will never forget. Dax had read my book, The Neurodiversity Edge, in depth, neither of us had any notes, and I found?myself really enjoying the conversation. I left feeling a sense of pride in owning who I was, who I always have been, and feeling like I, along with my fellow neurodivergent?#leaders, have the power to openly lead by example and forge a better path for younger generations. If you have not yet listened to the conversation, you can do so at the links in the comments. Dax is a curious, funny, and brilliant host. #neurodiversity #leadership #innovation #ai #culture #education #hr #ceo #socialimpact

A Historic Milestone: The 2025 Davos Neurodiversity Summit during the World Economic Forum In reflecting on the 2025 Davos Neurodiversity Summit, I am incredibly inspired by the transformative discussions, meaningful collaborations, and groundbreaking insights shared throughout the week. This Summit was not just an event—it was a movement inspiring a global coalition of neurodistinct leaders, influencers, and allies to come together with a shared vision. The Davos Neurodiversity Summit (DNS) is a global coalition of leaders dedicated to creating inclusive progress during the World Economic Forum with a platform to amplify neurodistinct voices and allies, and to integrate nonlinear/divergent or hyperfocus thinking to provide unique insights and perspectives on our greatest challenges. We brought #neurodiversity to the forefront—ensuring that innovation, economic growth, and technological progress reflect the full spectrum of human potential. Together, we are challenging outdated paradigms and shaping a #future where all minds are embraced, valued, and #empowered to solve our greatest challenges. The deep friendships built over the course of the Summit highlight the true spirit of collaboration. Our panelists and speakers were outstanding and helped us forge a new path toward a future where we can begin to reimagine growth, rebuild trust and invest in the potential of all people. In coming weeks, I will highlight the videos from our panels and speakers, including the hybrid and virtual sessions which will become available on the Davos Neurodiversity Summit website. Please look at the comments section for details about the panel sessions and speakers, as well as links to the Summit website and recent press release. A very special thank you to everyone who made the summit an extraordinary experience and especially to our sponsors Everway (formerly Texthelp), Neuropower World, Neurodiversity +Opportunity drives Innovation (NODI), Autism Community Ventures PBC, Autism Angels Group and TMT Partners Holdings. And this is just the beginning. Ongoing working groups, white paper discussions, an expanded Leadership Wall online, and think tanks will continue throughout the year—pushing forward real-world solutions that embrace neurodivergent talent to solve our most complex global challenges. The Movement Continues – Join Us in 2026! If you want to be part of shaping the future, join us for the 2026 Davos Neurodiversity Summit! Sign up for updates in the link in the comments. Registrations for 2026 will officially open next month. #Neurodiversity #WEF #FutureofWork #AI #Inclusion #Leadership #Davos2025 #DavosNeurodiversitySummit

For a lot of neurodiverse people, ChatGPT and large language models (LLMs) are game changers. Allow me to explain. First, I have a hunch that the proliferation of LLMs will lead many organizations toward linear thinking since LLMs are good at providing suggestions based on past consensus but are very bad at non-linear, counter-intuitive thinking that leads to breakthroughs and innovation. If we let them, neurodiverse people with a penchant for non-linear thinking will thrive in this world, as Maureen N. Dunne, Ph.D., eloquently documented in her book "The Neurodiverse Edge." Second, ChatGPT saves me about once a day. I pass as a neurotypical person. I've even had parents of other neurodiverse children say, "You don't seem neurodiverse to me." As a result, I am a bit hesitant to identify as autistic because it would seem that my career has been more helped than hindered by my neurodiversity. I also recognize that it's awkward to hear someone who seems to be doing ok talk about their struggles. Having said all that, one of the areas where I have struggled and continue to struggle is with comprehension. I have a hard time with basic instructions (board games and card games cause me terror, and even following instructions to put legos together with my kids creates a lot of stress). I can easily get lost when people use the type of ambiguous language so normalized that most people don't even recognize it. I tend to take a lot of things literally that are not meant to be taken literally. My first step in conquering this is getting comfortable asking basic questions, even if it means I look, well, dumb. It took me a long time to develop that habit. Then, when I realized I was often not understanding the emotional contexts of many conversations, I started prefacing certain statements by saying, "this is a feeling, and not a thought." By removing the sense of judgment from my speech, I've found it helps disarm people who might otherwise take something the wrong way. Today, I fed ChatGPT a lot of information and conversations to seek clarity. I've even downloaded transcripts of calls to take out bits and feed them to ChatGPT to ensure I understand. I sometimes chat with it to role-play conversations when I am insecure that I'll be misunderstood. All of this means that my life has a lot more overhead than most people have, but I also have a hyper-focus that helps me achieve high productivity levels. I know many people are feeling pessimistic right now, but if you could choose when to be born, you'd want to be alive today. Even as a person who works in climate change, I am excited about the world my kids get to live in and the inclusiveness we're building, even when inclusivity as a concept is under attack.
