Exciting news from the Arboretum, Illinois Institute of Technology, Purdue Agriculture, NATURAL STATE and the XPRIZE team, Welcome to the Jungle! Their innovative conservation technologies have earned them a finalist spot in the prestigious $10 million rainforest competition. The teams were tasked with surveying the most biodiversity in the Amazon rainforest within 24 hours and delivering impactful, real-time insights within 48 hours. Team members showcased their groundbreaking technologies at the Arboretum today, including sensor deployment using drones and a field molecular lab for environmental DNA testing.
