关于我们
Powering the future of work, one mom at a time. When moms win, we all win. At The Mom Project, we believe in the power of mom. Diverse. Talented. Committed. Moms are a force–a workforce. And their moment is now. We're creating a future of work that works for everyone. Smart companies know the truth: That moms take care of business and beyond. That no two careers look the same. That parenting skills sharpen business skills. We know that when mom thrives, families thrive, business thrives, society thrives...and things change for the better.

Caregiving exists in many forms. "Often, the abstract image people have of caregiving is limited in scope — picking up a child from school, for example, or going on parental leave. While these activities are absolutely central to caregiving, people may also be managing a child’s mental health, or helping a parent, spouse, or friend dealing with a medical condition like Parkinson’s or cancer." Research from Harvard Business Review shows that 73% of people surveyed in the U.S. have some type of caregiving responsibility. Companies can support caregivers in a variety of ways, like offering flexible benefits for everyone to normalize taking leave, and reducing the stigma of caregiving at work (ERGs, leaders who self-identify as caregivers, etc.) Read more, via Harvard Business Review: https://lnkd.in/e5sk3989

We know #networking is crucial, but it can feel a bit daunting. Whether you’ve taken a career break, ready to switch industries, or simply looking to reconnect, The Wall Street Journal outlines some tangible tips to rekindling a business relationship gone dormant (and why it’s important to keep those connections fresh!). ? Break the ice - it’s ok that it’s been awhile since you spoke! ? Keep it real - acknowledge that time has passed, but this is your chance to ask about what they are up to ? Be personal - have a memory you can recall, or something they did that made an impact on you It’s normal – everyone has lost contact with someone at some point, or dropped the ball on following back up. But there’s no time like the present to send a message and revive that relationship. Read the full article > https://lnkd.in/g_m4jaQy

Last month, we had the opportunity to join KARL STORZ United States for a Breast Cancer Awareness Panel within the organization. We heard deeply personal stories from team members about their own experiences with breast cancer, and left the event feeling inspired by their strength. We also learned valuable takeaways about advocating for your health and the importance of regular mammograms. Thank you to Karl Storz and panelists Tina Carmichael, Christina Edgar, CPP, Sara Thomas, Amy Wiedre and Winkie Wong, RAC for letting us be a part of this vitally important conversation.
