Originally organized back in 1893, the Minnesota Transportation Alliance is a statewide coalition of organizations advocating for a safe and effective transportation system that works for all Minnesotans. Our Alliance includes local governments, businesses, labor, the transportation industry, transit systems, rail, waterways, and airports. In short, our members are on the front lines, planning, designing, building and operating Minnesota’s transportation system every day

Maintaining Minnesota’s road network is a major expense for state and local governments. A recent report and research brief by the U's Transportation Policy and Economic Competitiveness Program detail existing transportation revenue sources as well as how funding is generated and distributed. The work also assesses the impacts of new retail delivery fees and a regional transportation sales tax. The research team was led by CTS scholar Camila Fonseca and Humphrey School of Public Affairs affiliate faculty member Jerry Zhirong Zhao. Learn more and read the brief: https://lnkd.in/gBtU6QMb
