  • In March of 2020, John had been walking in the woods with his wife when he suddenly felt a pressure in his chest that he had never felt before. After about a month of feeling this pressure, John decided to get a stress test. Despite the test showing no problems, John continued to have the same symptoms. Thankfully John’s primary care doctor pushed for more testing – as a result of those tests, John was told he would need cardiac catheterization🫀 He had the catheterization done on his 45th birthday -afterwards it was discovered that he would also need bypass surgery and was diagnosed with coronary artery disease (CAD). Fast forward to August 31, 2020 when John underwent a successful triple bypass and started the recovery process💪 Despite all of this, John was ALIVE! He decided he wanted to start hiking again as soon as he was able and had hopes of someday hiking all 48 of the 4000 footers in New Hampshire on the NH48 list. After a long physical and mental recovery John started his journey to 48 on May 26, 2022 and completed the NH48 on September 29,2024❗️
