**Nurses/Surgical Techs** I hope this post encourages any nurses, surgical techs, and any other HCP's looking to get into the Medical Device Industry who are having difficulty breaking into the industry and securing a role. I'm always surprised when I speak with Nurses and Scrub Techs who tell me they could never do Med Sales because they wouldn't be able to handle having a quota or a number to consistently hit. First, there are many roles in the industry such as a Clinical Specialist that don't necessarily have a specific quota. You will work side by side with your "sales" reps supporting procedures with your devices, providing education to physicians and staff, and having high-level clinical conversations with key stakeholders on the value of your device(s), all with the intentions of providing something of value for the best possible patient outcomes. You are incredibly valuable to the Medical Device Industry and I have seen many overworked and underpaid HCP's transition into the industry where they can still use they're clinical background on a daily basis with a much better work-life balance and more than likely a nice pay raise! Tips: Be specific on your resume in your summary about your current experience and what type of role you're looking to secure. For example: "Registered Nurse/Surgical Tech with over ten years experience in the Coronary, Peripheral, Structural Heart space looking to secure a Clinical Specialist role in the Medical Device Industry with a growing organization that is willing to promote high-performing talent".
