We recently hosted an important discussion about breaking down barriers to healthcare access in low- and middle-income countries, known as LMICs. Together with the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC)’s ATOM Coalition and The Max Foundation, we’re focused on finding sustainable solutions, such as with the ASPIRE initiative, to ensure that every patient gets the care they need. #HealthEquity #GlobalHealth

Super proud of our Senior Supply Chain Manager, Emma Chabangu, for getting the word out about our programs at the Botswana Supply Chain Summit, and even getting featured as our televised spokesperson ????
Last week I had the honour of attending the Botswana Supply Chain Summit which provided an opportunity to connect with industry professionals, explore emerging trends, and discuss challenges facing supply chain management in Southern Africa. The summit was featured on BTV a national broadcaster in Botswana, and I had the privilege of being interviewed on Gabz-FM, a local radio station in Botswana's capital city, to highlight my work with The Max Foundation and how we undertake our supply chain.

"My name is Helen, and I was born in the Philippines. When I was 27 and my daughter was 3, I left her with my mother and moved to work abroad to help send my two brothers to college. Eventually I moved to the Bahamas where I now work as a massage therapist. "When I was diagnosed with breast cancer in June 2023, I was worried because I did not know if I could sustain the bills for treatment. I coped with the diagnosis by working hard, not thinking that I have cancer. Not having enough funds, the cancer spread to my bones and became stage 4. "In January, a Philippine nurse gave me information about The Max Foundation. When I was approved to the new breast cancer program, I was short of words! I feel better now and thanks to you I have free medicines. "Instead of staying home and feeling depressed, I continue to take massage bookings for clients, so I have income for my monthly injections for my bone treatment. "In 2023, I asked my boss for help to bring my daughter, brother, and sister-in-law to work here. Now my heart feels complete, to have my daughter with me. She graduated as a radio technician, and now she is licensed and applied at MRI. "Something else that cheers me up every day is animals. I like to rescue dogs, feed them, and shelter them." Generous donations provide medicine, education, and support services to families like Helen's facing cancer, giving them more time together. https://buff.ly/3UEQEMs #GivingTuesday #AdvancedBreastCancer #BreastCancerAwareness #TheMaxFoundation
