February’s birthstone is Amethyst, a captivating gemstone with a rich history and profound significance. At?Interior Design Show (IDS) ?we introduced ''Everything Hz''—our immersive spa concept housed within a repurposed shipping container. At the heart of this experience stood Bloom Amethyst —a hefty, Hematite-coated cathedral cluster with a Prasiolite (green amethyst) base. We proudly showcased this 700-pound beauty, not just as a striking visual centerpiece, but as a symbol of the energy and harmony that defined our space. The crystal derives its name from the ancient Greek word amethystos, meaning “not drunken.” Amethyst is known for its deep violet colour, although it isn't always strictly purple. It is believed to hold healing powers, and is thought to help in the promotion of physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Amethyst is also associated with the astrological sign Pisces, which is suggestive of peace, serenity and temperance. This project required a solution that could: ? Qualify as public art ? Provide visual screening ? Allow for exhaust ventilation ? Withstand Florida’s intense wind loads Parasoleil delivered a turnkey exterior cladding system, featuring our Hive? mesh pattern to create large-scale organic imagery with ventilated cutouts. Built with ParaClad 100, our proprietary aluminum substructure system, it included custom brackets and precision-engineered perforated panels for durability and aesthetics. Designed for efficiency, the system required no cutting, drilling, or finishing in the field.
