The Holly-Days?are almost upon us! https://lnkd.in/eKMyfdmA Each weekend, from Friday, November 29 through Tuesday December 31, offers a different way to enjoy the season – from a Santa & Friends kickoff to celebrations of Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, and New Year’s Day at noon just for kids. Holly-Days events are free with Zoo admission and include unlimited train & carousel rides, holiday-themed education stations, chats with Zookeepers, storytimes, craft stations, and much-much more.? Chimp yoga ! This is Joice, our oldest female chimpanzee (Pan troglodytes) going through a daily stretching routine specially designed to keep her joints supple. At 52, she is older than the median age of her species by more than 12 years. Like a lot of people, she has age-related hip arthritis so we developed a series of poses to improve her range of motion. We can tell by her continued energy level and the way she interacts with the rest of the troop that Joice has really benefited from the therapy.
