Inspired by urban architecture and design, Maria Pinto embodies designer Maria Pinto’s clean, minimalist aesthetic, giving women fashion that is versatile, functional, and chic. "My clothing has a very architectural energy," Maria says. "It's where the industrial meets the elegant." Maria Pinto is a brick and mortar and e-commerce women's contemporary retailer based in Chicago. We offer a unique 1:1 shopping experience in which you try on and order pieces in store, and they are shipped directly to your home. We features clothing that is high fashion, high function, but low maintenance: pieces are comfortable, machine washable, excellent for travel, and can effortlessly shift from day- to nighttime events. The clothes are designed to fit a wide range of body types and sizes. It's a collection that keeps up with women's busy lives. Maria Pinto has counted some of the world's most notable style icons as clients, including First Lady Michelle Obama, Brooke Shields, and Oprah Winfrey. M2057 fashion has been worn on the hit show Empire, and Maria's designs have been featured in Vanity Fair, the New York Times, Women’s Wear Daily, the Wall Street Journal, and the Chicago Tribune, among other publications. Maria celebrated her 25th anniversary in fashion design in 2016 with a retrospective at Chicago’s City Gallery in the Historic Water Tower. In 2012 she co-curated an exhibition for the Field Museum, “Fashion and the Field Museum Collection,” and her designs are now part of the Field’s permanent collection. Maria is a member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), Chicago’s Advisory Council on Cultural Affairs and Special Events, and is on the board of the Art Institute of Chicago’s Architecture and Design Society. The School of the Art Institute has awarded Maria both its “Legend of Fashion” award in 2009 and an Honorary Doctorate in 2017.
