This week, we're announcing a major enhancement to our Cash Flow Projection Dashboard for our active subscribers. Anticipating your cash inflows as a homebuilder can be relatively straightforward – cash coming in from draws plus cash coming in from closings, right? But many builders find it is far more difficult to predict cash outflows with high confidence – both the amounts and the timing can prove difficult to know with certainty, and that’s precisely what this new enhancement to the Cash Flow Projection Dashboard is meant to handle. In addition to quantifying all AP and future AP using costs on committed purchase orders and work orders, this Dashboard now also includes enhanced forecasting for homes in WIP so that even when a house release remains incomplete the forecast will still generate anticipated cash outflows based on budget expectations, schedule timelines, and vendor payment terms. These changes impact both the accuracy of the forecast, as well as the window of time it can predict – in most cases increasing visibility from 3-4 months to more than 6 months!
