During their visit, they explored one of the world's greatest engineering marvels: the Panama Canal and its iconic locks. This episode features insights from Silvia Fernandez de Marucci, strategic advisor at the Canal de Panamá Authority, who highlights the importance of collaboration with the global LNG industry, not only with producers but with organizations like GIIGNL - International Group of LNG Importers and SIGTTO. Additionally, Jose Ramon Arango, senior analyst, liquid bulk discusses the innovative new allocation system (LoTSA) implemented recently, which aims to bring LNG traffic back to the canal. The journey included an up-close look at the locks in action at Agua Clara on the Atlantic side of the canal and an exciting chase of Neo-panamax ships through Gatun Lake.
