Business and life intersect every day. It’s time for business and community leaders to embrace planning in companies and departments. It’s time to consider the impact to our families, employees, clients, vendors and the economy and lead initiatives to facilitate planning for the “what if’s or the “when”. We now have three generations in the workforce - each responding differently to situations/events. It’s time to get beyond fear and take empowered action while living. It matters that we interweave the “what is” with the “what if’s”. The pain and disruption when people/businesses have yet to consider contingencies is tremendous. Absenteeism, presenteeism and loss of productivity are examples we face. Strategic planning inclusive of contingency and succession planning is good business for departments, companies and families. There is a section on The Living Planner website called, Caring For People, Caring For Business. This is an invitation for businesses to consider how life and business intersect daily for executives, employees, clients, vendors and the economy. Consider taking the online assessments or request on-site and virtual workshops to enhance your readiness.

Talking with my older sister yesterday, we laughed about our hijinks when we were young when our parents had people over and we were supposed to be upstairs. We developed Plan X, Y, and Z to consider three ways to "spy" without being seen! It dawned on me that this is very much like what I do today working with people to plot out their Plan X, Y, and Z!
