Thanksgiving is a day to count and be thankful for our blessings. It's fitting that we would then pause soon after and dedicate a day for giving back. Your gifts on Giving Tuesday one week from today help demonstrate to the world that St. Louis is THE most generous city on the planet! For Little Bit, they mean the world, securing our whole child model in 54 schools across the region and enabling us to continue to reach more under-resourced communities. Save the date and join us in giving back on #GivingTuesday!

More than 75 students (in-person at McCluer High School and online) recently attended a Virtual Transferable Skills Training session with The Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis. Students learned about the various funding options for education, techniques on effectively searching the best scholarships for their needs, and about all the services and advisory tools available through The Scholarship Foundation. The mission of The Scholarship Foundation is to provide access to postsecondary education to students who otherwise would not have the financial means to fulfill their educational goals. We're grateful for our ongoing partnership with them in opening doors for students and helping them make the right decisions for their future! #collegeandcareerready #StudentFutures

And now, the answer to the persistent question: "What's for dinner?" This Tuesday, let Katie's Pizza & Pasta Osteria take care of dinner (or lunch)! ALL proceeds from the day will be donated to Little Bit as part of the restaurant's generous Giveback Tuesday program. Thanks to our good friends for selecting Little Bit as a recipient of this program. #givebacktuesday

During this last week of #NationalBookMonth, we wrap our 20th book fair of the semester! Each semester, we host a free book fair at all of our partner schools, because we believe in the power of books to improve literacy, shape character, and spark the imagination. Special thanks to KPMG US's Family for Literacy, which helps fund and provide volunteers for our book fairs every year at Patrick Henry Elementary and Woodland Elementary! Contact us to learn how you can get involved with these fun and rewarding events. #Volunteer

This. More than $100,000 in college scholarships were awarded to students during Day 1 of our What's Next College and Career Fair last Friday (sponsored by Citi) and we could not be more excited for them! Nearly 500 students from 11 schools came through to talk with representatives from industry and institutions about their future. If you'd like to meet with our next cohort of students, there's still time to register as a vendor for Day 2 on October 17 and be that someone who could change a life! Deadline to RSVP is the 14th: https://lnkd.in/ge9qdFrh. #whatsnext #collegeandcareerready #StudentFutures

That's a wrap on Day 1 of our What's Next College and Career Fair! Students from 10 different middle and high schools showed up today at Harris-Stowe State University to engage with nearly 50 vendors and learn about various industries and possibilities for their future. The day kicked off with a brief workshop and panel discussion on how to maximize their time at the fair. The students were encouraged to "be a sponge" and soak up all the information they could, and heard that networking is the greatest tool they have in developing their career path. Excited for Day 2 of this community-wide event, coming up on October 17 at Flo Valley! #whatsnext #careerfair #collegeandcareerready
