It has been our pleasure at The Lighting Digest to take the opportunity to celebrate our manufacturing partners specializing in the production of transportation material over the past month. During February we highlighted manufacturers that produce a wide variety of products including but not limited to aluminum and steel light poles, traffic signal poles, high mast towers and lowering devices, cobra heads and high mast fixtures, camera lowering devices, traditional decorative poles and fixtures, bridge accent lighting, contemporary decorative poles and fixtures, as well as linear and exit sign fixtures for the Chicago Transit Authority and many many more. Many of the products highlighted are built locally in Illinois, and the vast majority of the products we highlighted are built right here in the United States! As an agency, The Lighting Digest could not be more grateful for and proud of our manufacturing partners and we are humbled to think of how far we have come since we opened our doors in January of 2023. ?To think that we now have a full month’s worth of partners we can showcase in a specific market vertical is truly special to us. We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible who have followed along with our Transportation Month at the upcoming Casino Royale event on March 6th!’

Continuing our fourth week of Transportation Month at The Lighting Digest, today we are highlighting our partners at Northstar Lighting and Camera Lowering Systems. Today we are highlighting the camera lowering device product built by CLS (a division of Northstar Lighting). The CLS lowering system is one of two primary manufacturers of camera lowering devices utilized throughout the United States, and the CLS system is proudly built locally in Elmhurst, Illinois. The CLS system works in conjunction with our steel pole manufacturing partners to provide a solution where cameras can be mounted at extreme heights but can be maintained at ground level without the use of extra heavy-duty equipment and bucket trucks with up to a 100’ boom. These systems keep our installing and maintenance partners safe for years after the initial installation of these products. CLS has a significant portion of the installed product base of camera lowering systems throughout IDOT and ISTHA and their systems have been installed on countless projects in Illinois over the past 10 years.

Continuing our final week of Transportation Month at The Lighting Digest, today we are highlighting one of our most important partners, Millerbernd. With 90+ years of manufacturing experience, this multi-generational family-owned business provides steel solutions ranging in the following categories for The Lighting Digest: Galvanized and or Painted Traffic Signal Mast Arm Poles, Decorative Fluted Poles, Corten Steel poles for the City of Chicago, High Mast Tower poles and lowering devices, Camera Tower poles, and Stainless-Steel poles.
