Proud to share that Space Leasing International (SLI), one of our #aerospace subsidiaries and the first company dedicated to space leasing, has acquired 10 ground stations formerly owned by Microsoft. ? Previously owned and developed by Microsoft, and purchased through a partnership with RBC Signals, a global provider of #satellite data communication products and services, the assets will be owned by SLI and leased to RBC. This transaction represents the latest in an ongoing and fruitful #collaboration between SLI and RBC Signals, which now includes 13 ground stations as part of an agreement to acquire up to 21. ? The #GroundStations acquired from Microsoft serve critical government and commercial communications across the globe and are located in high-demand satellite communication regions across five countries in five continents, including the U.S., Chile, Sweden, South Africa, and Singapore. The ground stations will be offered by RBC Signals for government and commercial customers operating individual satellites as well as constellations in a wide variety of orbits. ? SLI was formed in 2023 to catalyze growth in the space industry by providing operators with access to the latest technology without them having to commit to large-scale capital investment. This latest deal capitalizes on the growing demand for global data networks, cloud computing, and Internet-of-Things (IoT) applications, and reflects the ongoing shift from proprietary infrastructure to cost-efficient, shared solutions. ? ?? ?Congratulations to EuroEnergy, one of our #RenewableEnergy subsidiaries that’s based in Europe, which just announced the successful financial close of a €54 million facility with a leading Greek bank. This financing allows #EuroEnergy to continue driving renewable energy growth in Greece, a key market for the company, in which it was founded and is based. Since 2007, EuroEnergy has been committed to investing in Greece’s economy and clean energy future. Today, EuroEnergy’s operating assets portfolio in Greece exceeds 70 MW of wind and solar capacity, with an additional 80 MW in development and a scalable pipeline poised for future growth. Antonis Menegas, CEO of EuroEnergy, commented: “We strive to create value in every country where we operate, making a lasting impact on local economies. Strong local partnerships are central to our strategy, enabling us to structure financing efficiently, optimize asset performance, and expand our renewable energy footprint across multiple European markets.” ?? Clara Garcia Baltar, currently Project Manager, has been promoted to Vice President, Compliance and Risk, where she will help strengthen and maintain Libra Group’s governance framework alongside Libra Group’s Chief Governance and Sustainability Officer, Arguiró Elefteriu. Based in Argentina, Clara joined Libra Group in 2023 and we’re pleased to celebrate her well-deserved promotion. ?? Following a distinguished career at Libra Group, Richard Blaksley, formerly Chief Risk and Compliance Officer is embarking on a new chapter in his career. We thank him for his contributions and wish him continued success. ?? Proud to share that LCI, one of our #aerospace subsidiaries, has entered into an agreement in excess of $1 billion to acquire Macquarie Rotorcraft Limited (MRL), a leading helicopter leasing company under Macquarie Transportation Finance Limited, through SMFL LCI Helicopters Limited (SMFLH), LCI’s joint venture with Sumitomo Mitsui Finance and Leasing Company, Limited (SMFL). ? SMFL and LCI established SMFLH in 2020 to expand their presence in #helicopter operating leasing. Subsequently, its fleet has grown to the second-largest in the industry. ? With a fleet of around 120 leased aircraft, MRL has been a key player in the global helicopter leasing industry since 2013. This acquisition will expand SMFLH’s fleet to approximately 310 aircraft, strengthening its position in the helicopter leasing industry and expanding its business and customer bases. ? In honor of International Women’s Day, we’re proud to spotlight the Seleni Institute, an independently run clinic and nonprofit that supports women and their families’ mental and emotional health during the family-building years, which was recently awarded a generous grant from the Kenworthy-Swift Foundation. Seleni Institute was founded in 2011 by Nitzia and George Logothetis to address unmet needs around maternal mental health, as well as caregivers and individuals building their families. It is one of the 10 philanthropic initiatives of Libra Group’s sister organization, Libra Philanthropies, an independently run 501(c)(3). Established in 1962, the Marion E. Kenworth-Sarah H. Swift Foundation works to advance mental and emotional health of populations under the age of 26 by making grants to support innovative programs that advance the mental health of young people through the fields of social work, psychiatry, preventive psychiatry, and community mental health. It honors Dr. Kenworthy and Ms. Swift, who during their lifetimes, sought to build bridges between psychiatry and social work with a commitment to teamwork and collaboration. To date, Seleni has impacted more than 10 million lives worldwide, encompassing all ages, communities, and backgrounds, and has trained over 6,200 care professionals globally. This grant will enable Seleni to further expand access to specialized mental healthcare for individuals navigating reproductive and family life transitions, advance clinician training programs, and develop new resources and initiatives to meet the evolving needs of families. ?? Pleased to share that EuroEnergy, our European-based #RenewableEnergy subsidiary, has announced an expansion of its portfolio with the addition of a 60 MW pipeline of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects in Greece’s Tripoli and Almiros municipalities, with an investment of approximately €30 million. ? The two state-of-the-art projects, each 30 MW, are strategically located to enhance grid stability and have been fully environmentally licensed since 2024. When commissioned, they will serve as a blueprint for further storage investment in Greece and Europe.?These projects are part of EuroEnergy’s footprint, which includes over 650 MW under development across 5 countries and over 180 completed projects including solar, wind, BESS, and biogas. ? BESS are essential for balancing supply and demand while optimizing renewable efficiency. With advanced cell-to-grid controls, EuroEnergy’s solutions provide seamless integration and adaptability in complex energy environments.? ? ?? This announcement comes amid strong policy momentum in Europe as the region recognizes the role #BESS has in facilitating the integration of renewable energy sources. In February, the European Commission, through its Affordable Energy Action Plan, reaffirmed its commitment to electricity storage, focusing on accelerated permitting and grid flexibility.?Additionally, Greece recently announced a plan to fast-track standalone storage projects, pushing toward its 2030 goal of 4.3 GW of battery storage.? ? ?? Pleased to share that long-time Libra Group leader, Camilo Patrignani, has been appointed Head of Infrastructure, overseeing our three #RenewableEnergy subsidiaries. Camilo’s remit will also include oversight of the Group’s growing portfolio of sustainable critical minerals for use in North America.? ? Since joining Libra Group in 2008, Camilo has played a key role in shaping our renewable energy operations, holding several senior roles. Before joining Libra Group as Executive Vice President of Energy, he served as founding CEO of Greenwood Energy (GWE), one of our renewable energy subsidiaries based in Latin America, and later as CEO of Greenwood Sustainable Infrastructure (GSI), one of our renewable energy subsidiaries based in North America. ? ? Camilo has also been instrumental in overseeing innovative partnerships of our subsidiaries with indigenous peoples, including GSI’s collaboration with the Ocean Man First Nation on the Iyuhána Solar project and GWE’s partnership with the Arhuaco Indigenous tribe of Colombia for the TERRA Initiative. ? Following this promotion, Camilo will oversee Libra Group’s entire renewable energy portfolio, including 3 renewable energy subsidiaries: GWE, GSI, and EuroEnergy—our European-based renewable energy subsidiary. Last week, #maritime subsidiary Lomar Shipping’s Achim Boehme scholars from the HSB Hochschule Bremen – City University of Applied Sciences attended Marine Money Hamburg 2025, one of the most prestigious events focused on #shipping finance and #investment. With this year’s theme, “Decision Making in an Unpredictable World,” and over 400 diverse, global attendees from across the maritime industry, the event allowed the scholars to network with and learn from industry leaders. The Achim Boehme scholarship program honors the memory of Achim Boehme, an inspirational leader who was the CEO of Lomar from 2010 to 2020. Achim lost his courageous battle with cancer in July 2020 at the age of 56. This scholarship program was established by Lomar in 2021 and today carries on his legacy, supporting young professionals to achieve their dreams of entering the #shipping industry.
