#LatinaEqualPayDay Did you know Latinas lose nearly $1.3 million over their careers due to the wage gap? This is more than just a statistic—it’s a barrier to economic mobility and security. Despite contributing significantly to the U.S. economy, Latinas continue to face persistent wage disparities. In 2023, the average Latina working full-time, year-round earned just 58 cents for every dollar paid to a white, non-Hispanic man. This gap widens further when part-time and part-year workers are included, with Latinas earning only 51 cents for every dollar. To close this wage gap, we must invest in economic and social infrastructure and improve protections for Latinas, who continue to be stranded at the intersection of racial, ethnic, and gender inequities. This Hispanic Heritage Month, let's not just celebrate Latinas' contributions. Let’s ensure they are paid fairly. #LatinasLead #HispanicHeritageMonth #LatinaEqualPayDay #EqualPayDay - - - Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gasZzbiK Learn more about how the LLI is supporting Latina leaders here: Latinoslead.org

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible partners at Huntington National Bank for hosting such a memorable event today. It was inspiring to be surrounded by so many of our LLI Alumni, community leaders, partners, and friends, all gathered in one room. The highlight of my morning was connecting with talented Latino professionals and entrepreneurs, each sharing their unique stories and ambitious visions. These conversations fuel my optimism for the future—because it’s individuals like them who will shape it. Their drive, passion, and potential full the work of the Latino Leadership Institute. #LatinosLead #HispanicHeritageMonth

This morning, I had the privilege of attending a Hispanic Heritage Month event sponsored by Huntington National Bank that profiled the incredible Joelle Martinez, CEO of the Latino Leadership Institute. Joelle made the compelling case that the growing Latino population is critically important to the economic growth and competitiveness of the United States. I learned that the GDP for the U.S. Latino community is $3.7 Trillion - which would make it the fifth largest GDP in the world, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with national economies. Congratulations to Nicole Marquez, EMBA , Cora Ohlgren , Oyuky Meza and many others for an outstanding event. Joe Nimmons , Ray B Pena Jr , Renee Williams .

Veronica Garza started Siete Foods in her kitchen. Her goal was simple: to share her abuela-approved gluten-free tortillas with the world. Today, the Garza family has sold Siete Foods for a staggering $1.2 billion. Latino entrepreneurs are brimming with self-belief and they’re building businesses that power our economy. What if we could support more Latino entrepreneurs in building billion-dollar businesses? Imagine the economic potential we could unlock. https://cnb.cx/3zJBnCB - - Learn more about LLI's work supporting growth-stage Latino-owned businesses: https://latinoslead.org/ #LatinosLead #HispanicHeritageMonth
